  • Supporting next gen Genetics talent at Otago

Article

Lab Supply was recently invited to support the 400-level presentations of the Genetics Mātai Ira Teaching Programme at the University of Otago. We sponsored the afternoon tea over the two days of presentations.

For the GENE programme, the students carry out their 4th-year project in one of the Departments that contribute to the teaching programme. This year students were based in  Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pathology, Zoology, Dunedin School of Medicine, Women’s and Children’s Health.

21 students presented on their projects, to an audience of fellow classmates, lab members and supervisors.

Adam Spurway, Director – Lab Supply, participated on day one of the presentations, and over afternoon tea interacted with students about their research.

Afternoon tea was a hit too, with Lauren Over, one of the student presenters extending her thanks saying, “Thank you for sponsoring our food for the last two days of the genetics 400 level class presentations. The food was delicious!”
