Steritop bottle top filter units provide a large filter area for rapid filtration of aqueous fluids into narrow-mouth (33mm) or wide-mouth (45mm) bottles of volumes from 150mL to 1000mL. They are ideal for sterilizing tissue culture media and buffers.
Features include: • Millipore Express PLUS polyethersulfone (PES) membranes for fast flowing, low protein binding
• A filter rate of up to 25% faster than original Millipore Express membranes, and 3x faster than filter cups with cellulose acetate membranes
• Low binding hydrophilic membrane surface that prevents absorption of key growth factors and proteins. Stericup filter cups with Durapore PVDF membranes are available for applications that require ultra-low protein binding.
• The asymmetric pore structure of the Millipore Express PLUS membrane attains a higher throughput than other membranes. This is of advantage when filtering serum or other proteinaceous solutions.
• Prefilters (sold separately) can be attached via a tab inside the funnel for use with heavily contaminated or hard to filter solutions.
• Stericup receiver flasks (sold separately) are no-tip, easy-grip receiver flasks for improved stability and ease of handling. Capped flasks can be easily stacked for storage.
